who has been to tijuana?
what is it like? is it worth a trip? i plan on making a trip there while in san diego this summer. any advice/tips for a first timer would be helpful. i probably will be traveling alone too, since i don't know anyone down there. unless someone can show me around or knows of a good guide =D
yep, went there while on a trip to San Diego with the family a couple of years ago. as stated, there will be someone trying to sell you pretty much anything the entire time you are there. we walked from a parking area a few hundred yards from the border. they have burrows (spelling?) that are painted like zebra at alot of the street corners with a photographer, put a sombero on you and take your picture (of course it costs). bide your time on buying anything, as you will probably find it cheaper along the way. never give their asking price!!! they will come down 30-50% on most items or start adding other stuff in. it was fun but I really wanted to be out of there before dark having the family with me. getting back thru the border takes some time (another reason not to drive, as that line was much longer). have fun !!!
