Vegas Travel Guide

Where should we stay in Las Vegas?

We are going on our first trip and want to stay somewhere on the strip, but not too expensive or too cheap. We also want few noisy kids (sorry people) or even younger adults (we are in our mid-30's). A 3 or 4 star place is what we are looking at.

So is there any place along these lines you stayed at in Vegas and loved (service, dining, shows, etc)? The travel guides say they are almost all the same, but we're sure there may be one service or another that tips the scales in a particular ones favor. And if you have stayed at multiple places and don't see a big difference, you can say so as well.
Also, we were considering Golden Nugget. Is Fremont a constant party, or does it clear out at some point in the night?

you can prob get a great deal on a hotel on the strip right now.

for about 150 a night you can prob stay at the venitan or the palazzo both great places.

Luxor is nice (dont stay at excalibur)
TI is good
Mirage is a good scene

The golden nugget is a nice hotel but if this is your first time in vegas stay on the strip, and save freemont street for another time. It is worth doing but the strip is more of the palce to be
