A friend asked to drive a moving truck to California from Atlanta, GA, what should i charge?
A family friend is moving from Atlanta, GA to North California... It is a 2,500mile or so trip. Estimated 4-6 days.. We'd be traveling in a large moving truck, and the family would be taking the family car as the guide on the trip ahead of me. I wanted to know what you think would be a reasonable rate that i can charge them. I was thinking about $100-150 a day..a friend that owns a trucking company said a trip like that would cost easy $1,500. Let me know what you think!! THANKS!!!!!
If they are agreeable to that price, then I think it would be fair. Just make sure that they are also paying for you to get back home (or you factor it into what you get paid) as a flight would cost you a couple hundred bucks.
This as a great way to see the country. If you've never driven cross country before this is a great opportunity for you. Gas is free, no wear and tear on your vehicle AND you get paid!
I'm jealous! I'd love for someone to pay me to drive cross country.
