The world is your oyster when it comes to travelling in 2010 with almost every country on earth available to explore, but with so many places to choose from, where do you begin. Of course everyone has their very own dream holiday destination but there are a few destinations which are more popular than most.

New Zealand features heavily on peoples must see lists, and for very good reasons too. New Zealand is with out question one of the most beautiful countries on earth with a landscape that could melt even the stoniest of hearts. The country still has a sense of wilderness about it, perhaps not surprising when you consider it is bigger than the UK but with a population less than a 10th of the UK's. The country is also fast cementing itself as the adventure capital of the world thanks to almost every kind of extreme sport being found here.

Even deadly spiders and snakes cannot put people off from coming to this perennial favourite, Australia. The country has so much going for it that increasing numbers of people do not just visit here for their holidays, they end up moving here too and enjoy all the sights and attraction both natural and man made that Australia has in abundance.

There are very few countries in the world that can possibly match India for its diversity, from its snow-capped mountains to sun kissed beaches and from its quite revere to its vibrant festivals India is a kaleidoscope of people and places. India has long appealed to backpackers as they make there way around Asia but increasingly it is becoming a hot spot for the well-heeled traveller thanks to its magnificent resorts.

Dubai is quite possible the most glam, glitzy, OTT place on earth and that is exactly why so many love it here. Dubai is home to some of the most amazing buildings in the world with sky high hotels, vast shopping centres, man made islands, extravagant clubs and even an indoor ski run. Dubai really is a city like no other and has become synonymous with partying, excess and plenty of sunshine.

No list of top holiday destination would be complete without the US. The country really does offer something for everyone from beach holidays in Florida, skiing in the Rockies, city breaks in New York and star spotting in LA, what ever you want from your holiday you are sure to find it here.
