Which North African country is best to travel to?
I'm interested in traveling to North Africa. (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya)
Besides Egypt, which North African country is best to travel to in terms of these qualities?
a) safety (less violent crimes, theft and mugging, rare chances of terrorism & civil war stuff)
b) hygiene (clean public bathrooms, hotels, drinkable water)
c) magnificent architecture and historical sites
d) beautiful nature and exotic scenery
e) tourist-friendly (many English speaking local people, tour guides and lots of signs in English)
My candidates are Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
You may choose the one best country or rank all of them in order :)
Morocco has a lot of beautiful and varied scenery, all types of sports, much architectural, many cultural fairs (arts, music, etc.), and are friendly to westerners and there are some who speak English, some of the menus and restrooms signs are in English. Safety is like just about anywhere else, some parts of the cities are worse than others, don't go wondering off by yourself without some friendly advice. Most bathrooms are cleaned and you are supposed to pay the lady who cleans them 1 DH (about 12 cents) for using them, don't expect all to have toilet paper so bring some wipes or Kleenex.
