i would like to travel from Hyderabad to Ooty from Hyderabad, which would be best to travel from either by bus or by train? what will be the duration of travelling, and charges? it would be good if i get to know something about the accomodations at both the places i.e. at Ooty. if i get to know the charges of the Hotel then it would be a great help. please guide me about what are the places to explore in Ooty. how will be the climate in the end of february? how much days are needed to explore both the places? with all this if i get any additional information then it would be appreciated.
Since the distance is quite huge I suggest that you take the train.
OOty: The best option is take Sabari Express from Hyderabad to Coimbatore and take a bus or taxi from there. Ooty is about 3-4 hrs by bus and about 2 1/2 hrs by taxi if you are planning to take. Train takes 20 hrs for the strech of 1132 kms leaving Hyderabad at 12:15 noon and reaching Coimbatore by 8:30AM-so 24 hrs flat you can be in Ooty.
Ooty will require about 2-3 days for proper sight seeing. The climate will always be quite pleasant but the sun will be bright enough.
To Kodaikanal you can travel by road only. Ooty-Coimbatore-Palani is the route to be taken-will take about 7-8 hours of travel. Will reuiqre another 2-3 days for complete sight seeing at Kodaikkanal too. You can get the places of interest list at the place of stay itself in both places.
Hyderabad to Kodaikkanal the ebst way is to take the Chennai Express to Chennai and catch Guruvayoor Express from Chennai Egmore to Dindigul Time taken for the same will also be around 20-21 hrs from Hyderabad to Didnigul and another 3-4 hrs by road from there.
