Does Lonely Planet Publications (the world famous travel book guides) now have a serious credibility problem?
The Lonely Planet Colombia Guide was written by a guy who never visited Colombia but just stayed at his home in Nth America.
How many more guides were written this way I wonder?
The fraudster's name is Thomas Kohnstamm if you want to research it
Most of them probably were. It's not hard to gather facts about a country. I think they should write area specific reviews AND include names and dates as further proof that they were there.
