Round The World Trip 2010 - Spending Money?

At the planning stage of a rtw trip in 2010. Hopefully, will visit Thailand, OZ, NZ, Singapore, Fiji, Bangkok, USA. Don't really know how long at each destination yet. Hoping to travel for up to 9 months, probably spending at least 3 months in OZ doing some casual work.

As a rough guide, how much spening money (excluding flights) do you think I'd need for the 9 months? Including accomodation, food, overland travel etc.

I'm going to stay in hostels, camp etc.

Probably around £9,000 ($18,000) if you're careful.
