how do i ( an Iraqi living in Iraq ) apply for study in the US ?
Hi all i'm an Iraqi student of English literature in the college of Baghdad , and i dream of travelling to USA to take high studies and may be live there afterwards in the country of freedom , technology conviniences , civilized life and mostly nice weather , and leave this hellhole called Baghdad ( i'm patriotic but it's really no way of good life here specially under the current conditions ) i have the best grades in my class , and the teachers in here consider me a very special talented student , but i have absolutely no idea how to begin applying for study and i would like u guys to give me some kind of a guide or a site on the internet where i can just send a request for invitation to the USA for study , and thank u in advance .
Here is the basic information on student visas. http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1270.html . You have to be able to pay for your education up front so unless you have lots of money forget it. Make sure you start the application well before classes begin or you will miss the start of class
