What is best guide to Europe: Lonely Planet, Frommers, Fodors, Lets Go etc?
I'm a 23 year old student planning to go to europe with my girlfriend next year, we're not really going for parties, rather to see the landscapes, cities, culture, meeting new people etc..
Which travelling guides can you recommend?
(Please only answers from people who have actually compared some of them)
My favorite is Frommers because they're always right about the restaurants and places to stay. The sightseeing guides are good and so are the recommendations for hotels, restaurants and nightlife.
Lonely Planet is excellent also, for the same reasons, and they excel at the lesser-visited places too. They also feature a lot more less-expensive accomodation and are geared towards younger travellers.
Bring them both, and have a fantastic trip! Be sure to visit local tourist info centers too. they usually have great maps and suggested walking tours in their publications.
