Help writing a Blurb?
I am designing covers for a set of fictitious travel guides based primarily on the theme of big eating challenges in restaurants across the US. They also tell the reader about the best independent restaurants to visit in these cities and are meant as an alternative and different experience to chain restaurants and fast food. I am writing blurbs for four guides, these are for Amarillo TX, Chicago ILL, Seattle WA and New York NY. The guides are called "The Hungry Man's Guide to...". I'm having trouble with how to start the blurb and generally what to write in it? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! :)
"[City] is known for its [trademark, e.g. Chicago deep dish, NY pizza, "everything's bigger in Texas" etc], and [restaurant] is no exception." Then continue on to the challenges.. or
"Amarillo is home to some of the biggest, baddest dishes around. This guide will take you deep into the heart of Texas cuisine..." And so on..and then a quick mention of the challenges..
